Welcome to Carrerai. By accessing or using our website (carrerai.app), Chrome extension, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Account Registration

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• One account per person. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

2. Free Trial

• New users receive a 3-day free trial with limited features (5 AI calls, basic resume analysis, job matching via the Chrome extension).
• No credit card is required for the free trial.
• After the trial expires, access to all features (including the Chrome extension) is restricted until you upgrade to a paid plan.
• The free trial is available once per user. Creating multiple accounts to extend the trial is prohibited.

3. Pro Subscription

• The Pro plan costs €19 per month, billed monthly through PayPal.
• Pro includes: 4,000 AI calls per month, unlimited resume analysis, cover letter generation, interview preparation, ATS score checker, and full Chrome extension access.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4. No Refund Policy

• By subscribing to any paid plan, you acknowledge and agree that all charges are non-refundable.
• We encourage you to fully use the free trial before purchasing to ensure the Service meets your needs.
• If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period, but no prorated refund will be provided.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the extension or website.
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from our Service using automated tools.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers.
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code.
• Use the Service to harass, spam, or harm others.
• Create multiple accounts to abuse the free trial or circumvent usage limits.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service.

6. AI-Generated Content

• The Service uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to generate content such as cover letters, resume analyses, interview questions, and job match scores.
• AI-generated content is provided as suggestions only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and using any content generated by the Service.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.
• We are not liable for any consequences arising from your use of AI-generated content.

7. Intellectual Property

• The Service, including its design, code, branding, and content, is owned by Carrerai and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
• You retain ownership of any content you upload (e.g., resumes). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.
• AI-generated content created using your inputs is yours to use freely.

8. Account Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms.
• You may delete your account at any time from the Settings section of your dashboard.
• Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• No refund will be issued upon termination, whether initiated by you or by us.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• We are not responsible for any loss of data, revenue, or opportunities arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Khouribga, Morocco.
